Dariusz Startek

Dariusz Startek is Figure Engineering’s Senior Controls Engineer, leading manufacturing, robotics, and marine projects. He incorporates several years of industrial experience gained worldwide into Figure’s projects, which makes our systems ready to face harsh and brutal environments. Dariusz has extensive experience in industrial controls and electrical and mechanical systems in the Shipbuilding, Oil and Gas, and Manufacturing industries. He worked on systems designs, upgrades, installation, startup, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Well-versed in PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, data acquisition, instrumentation, and medium/low voltage power generation and distribution systems.
Dariusz worked as a field service engineer, project manager, and controls engineer for large international organizations like Nestle, Royal Arctic Line, Edison Chouest Offshore, and Rockwell Automation.

He led multiple million-dollar projects from the concept, through the design stage to running the contractors on the floor. He enjoys hands-on tasks and is a troubleshooting expert.
His most significant accomplishments were process optimization projects where advanced controls, process changes, and modification of operators’ behavior led to hundreds of thousands of dollars in savings in natural gas reduction, power quality improvements, and reduction of downtime and equipment wear.

Dariusz graduated from the University of Technology in Gdansk, Poland, with a degree in Robotics and Mechatronics (BS) and Industrial Automation (MS). He enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.
