As Mechanical Engineer, Thad Ribner is the lead on physical design and innovation. Mr. Ribner is responsible for developing Interactive assemblies, pressurized systems, and cutting-edge solutions for diverse customers. His expertise extends to designing and conducting validation tests to assess and affirm the properties and abilities of materials and systems, ensuring design conformance.
With over 15 years of experience in research and development engineering design, Thad Ribner possesses a strong background in expeditionary systems and design for harsh environments. Thad specializes in the design of complex mechanisms and system interactions. Thad is experienced in the design and implementation of new test procedures for the validation of novel materials and products. Thad also has certifications in project management from Cornell University.
Mr. Ribner earned his B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, with a minor in Manufacturing Engineering and Specializations in Kinematics and Mechanism Design. Thad has helped develop unmanned underwater vehicles, downed submarine rescue systems, novel materials for space inflatables, autonomous sea gliders, and complex expeditionary systems and support infrastructure.
Thad has previously been a firefighter, scuba instructor, and sailing instructor. Outside of work, Thad finds joy in the company of his family and friends, often immersing himself in outdoor activities, whether backpacking in the woods or sailing on the water.
